CASE STUDY OBJECTIVES

5. Critically assess and cluster nutrition assessment data to prioritise nutrition issues of concern, select Nutrition Diagnoses and create PES Statements for an individual who is malnourished
6. Integrate previous Nutrition Diagnoses with new Diagnoses
7. Apply knowledge of food, nutrition, physical activity, health and disease to develop a client-centred nutrition prescription and interventions for malnutrition
8. Develop a therapeutic diet for malnutrition including appropriate nutrient sources and meal plans
9. Develop a Monitoring and Evaluation Plan with nutrition outcome measures and performance indicators for a patient with cancer-related malnutrition
10. Document the nutrition care process using accepted standards
11. Explain the diet-disease relationship
